Axess Electronics Ltd, or Session, were an electronics manufacture based in Basingstoke, Hampshire during the 1980s, specialising in guitar amplification. The products sold were of high quality and they received great recognition in the guitaring world. Mick Jagger being one of the huge names reported to use session branded amplification equipment in the 1980s. The company was founded by Stewart Ward in 1979 after originally opening a hairdressing salon with his now ex-wife. He subsequently teamed up with his sales manager to create further success with Session products. Stewart's new company Award-Session.com made new and improved Session amp models from 1997 to the end of 2007. Other products still in production include the Jerry Donahue JD10 direct recording pre-amp, The Gordon Giltrap GG10(now AP10)acoustic guitar preamp, SoloBooster - a Master Volume pedal for FX Loop use which allows soloing underneath a vocal line and lastly, the ClearTone YellowTAB Cables service which is growing and now produces the company's major earnings.
